All our classes are hands-on and are taught by a resident tutor for the programme in the chateau kitchen or in the main teaching space off the central courtyard.
On each culinary course we will cover basic knife skills and general kitchen practice as well as the fundamentals of classical French cuisine and in particular Bordelais recipes.
We also match our menus with the wines of the Bordeaux region. We are joined by local wine experts to help us appreciate the variety within local wine production and we always visit a local producer to see the wine making process first hand.
Some of our courses include a wine tasting lesson at the celebrated St Emilion Ecole du Vin.
